Being a big Cubs fan, Prior was one of my favorite players and every year I found myself telling all of my friends (Astros Fans) that this year will be the year he came back and proved everyone wrong.
It definately was not about the money because apparently the Cubs offered him a larger base salary than the Padres but he wants to play close to home.
Too bad he left because this year is the year the Cubs win it all.

Unfortunately, I can not let it go because Cubswin and Longtime fan are two different persons. Face it, you really are in love with yourself aren’t you? Well, your asumption is still wrong and I love the amount of comments this has generated.

Baseball has become nothing less that what our society as a whole has become. Don’t expect Prior to be noble or “honorable” in this situation. He is simply getting what he can. Just like you or I would when trying to negotiate a raise at our jobs. You wouldn’t take less than you could, why would he?

Let me explain the email comment for you. When you post a comment on this site, you have to enter an email address. That address is not displayed publicly but I, as the owner of the site am able to see what you entered. When you commented the first time as Longtime Fan, you entered the same email address as Cubs Win. Therefore, I know that you are in fact the same person.

Now, this time you used a different email address but unfortunately, the IP address is also recorded. The IP address you commented from this time is still in the same class as the comment from Cubs Win and your first comment here. Let it go, we’ll all move on and we’ll all have a happy holiday.

Well, I wish I could understand the email address comment, because they are not similar, but I guess that explains your lack of comprehension when reading these comments. Above all, you may want to check out your system or server as well. It appears the Rain Delay post wasn’t the only issue.

Your whole argument regarding loyalty is riduculous ( I was only speaking of the Prior vs. Cub case, not any other players or teams).
